Lindsey had always had an eye for design, color, and packaging, but had never created it in print before. She went out and bought Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and began designing tea cans for her new teas as well as marketing pieces all the while working a full time job. After her designs were perfect and ready for market, TIME had come for her to quit her job - and she did. It was time to make the new Tea District brand known.
In June, 2008, Tea District introduced an Organic line of Whole Leaf Loose Teas that are sold in bulk as well as in 3 oz bags. Shortly thereafter in January, 2009 Tea District launched a NEW line of Organic Whole Leaf teas in biodegradable silk sachets. Because Tea DistrictĘs tea cans are so popular, the NEW pyramid sachets were packaged into a similar can (as well as in bulk and single wrapped form). The tea cans also went GREEN. Tea District now uses post consumer recycled materials to create there tea cans, prints with SOY based ink, and also now packages there teas in the U.S.A.
